SeatGeek signs up Facebook as primary ticketing distributor - Ticketing platform SeatGeek has signed Facebook up as a distribution partner, allowing sports fans and gig-goers to buy tickets directly through the world’s biggest social network. The first company to tap this new tie-up between SeatGeek and Facebook is Sporting Kansas City, a soccer team with an average attendance of around 20,000. SeatGeek was already an official primary ticketing partner of Major League Soccer (MLS), and by extension Sporting Kansas City, which effectively allows a club’s tickets to be sold on any website or application of a team’s choosing, providing the website or app in question is under the organizer’s direct control or in a partnership with SeatGeek. And that is basically what today’s announcement with Facebook is all about — it will allow any company that runs events to sell tickets through SeatGeek on Facebook. Learn more about SeatGeek Open

Ibotta Reveals Best and Worst Places to Trick or Treat, Best Day to Buy Candy- The findings, which included an analysis of 150,000 item-level receipts for candy bought the week before Halloween in 2015 and 2016, revealed that Oregonians spent more on Halloween candy than residents of any other state, an average of $40.29, with Washington, New Jersey, Utah and California rounding out the top five best states for trick-or-treaters. Ibotta also looked at the average price of candy in the same timeframe and found that consumers got the best deals on candy four days before Halloween, when the average price as $1.94 per unit. That was in stark contrast to October 30, when the median cost rose to $2.75, making Halloween Eve the worst day to save money on candy. This may be attributed to shoppers making purchase decisions based on what is still available on store shelves rather than comparison shopping for a better deal. Learn more about partnering with Ibotta

Automated Airspace Authorization is Here - Easy, digital, and automated authorization in U.S. controlled airspace is ready for takeoff. We’re proud to announce that AirMap is a UAS Service Supplier (U.S.S.) of the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (L.A.A.N.C.). That means that commercial drone operators can request digital airspace authorization in controlled airspace through the very same AirMap mobile app that they use to plan their missions, review airspace advisories, and receive live traffic alerts. Drone operators can apply for two types of authorization with AirMap: automated authorization for flights within pre-approved zones and altitudes, and manual authorization for flights outside of pre-approved zones and altitudes that require manual approval by ATC. Planning for a mission ahead of time? Apply for authorization up to 30 days in advance. Adjusting a flight plan or responding to a last-minute customer request? You’ll know within seconds if your flight has been authorized, even if you’re on the go. Learn more about AirMap airspace authorization

NYT: The Benefits of HSAs - Many H.S.A.s, however, require that you have a minimum amount saved — say, $1,000 — before you can invest. The idea is that you should have some money set aside before you take investment risks. “If you will need the funds in the near future to pay medical bills, it may not make sense to invest,” said Roy Ramthun, an H.S.A. consultant. But some account providers let you invest at any time. The health finance start-up Lively, for instance, allows H.S.A. participants to invest with no minimum balance. Lively offers a basic H.S.A. free, or charges users a flat $2.50 a month to invest in low-cost mutual funds and exchange-traded funds through the online brokerage firm TD Ameritrade. Learn how to offer a Lively HSA to your team
