The Teamworthy Fellowship
Overview
Teamworthy Ventures has a commitment to investing in and supporting early-stage entrepreneurs and helping great teams build companies of enduring value. The Teamworthy Fellowship is a fully-remote, 12-week opportunity that provides current or aspiring entrepreneurs with funding and functional area expertise to support their transition to roles as full-time founders. Flexible Funding
Upon their acceptance into the Teamworthy Fellowship, Teamworthy Fellows have the option, but not the obligation, to receive $25K-$150K via a post-money SAFE with a valuation cap. At the time of their completion of the Fellowship, Teamworthy Fellows may have the opportunity to receive an additional investment from Teamworthy.
12-Week Curriculum
The 12-week curriculum of the Teamworthy Fellowship focuses on intensive customer development and business model generation. We work closely with Teamworthy Fellows to precisely identify the needs of potential buyers and users and to refine the positioning, pricing, and packaging of their products. The core of the Fellowship centers on conversations with senior executives and functional area experts at companies in our portfolio and network who provide specific guidance and recommendations from their lived experience as entrepreneurs.
All meetings take place via Zoom or Google Meet. You do not need to relocate during the Fellowship. We will arrange the opportunity for you to meet our investment team in person during the timeline of the Fellowship.
Conversations with Senior Executives and Functional-Area Experts
Teamworthy Fellows meet with more than a dozen seasoned entrepreneurs and executives at our portfolio companies who provide guidance on product, engineering, sales, marketing, customer success, and talent acquisition.
The seasoned executives and entrepreneurs who are available to Teamworthy Fellows are founders, CEOs, and senior team members of Teamworthy Ventures portfolio companies. Toast, Carta, Typeform, G2, SeatGeek, Slice, Capsule, and Teamworks are a number of the companies in which Teamworthy has been fortunate to invest. Complimentary Research Consultations
Teamworthy Fellows receive access to several complimentary consultations with domain experts and executives through GLG, the research services business co-founded by our managing partner Thomas Lehrman. These consultations can be helpful for product and customer development, account strategy, market research, and more.
Investment Focus at Teamworthy
We invest in companies that provide software and/or software-enabled services to enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, or other institutions. Many of our portfolio companies have demonstrated successful business models that generate revenue streams from multiple sources, including SaaS subscriptions, payment processing, professional services, and/or hardware sales. We seek companies that deliver value to multiple personas within the businesses and institutions they serve.
